Accessibility statement
Last updated September 23, 2026
Solstice is for people going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and it should work for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Pages are built with meaningful headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate them.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and a "Skip to content" link starts every page.
- Text and controls meet WCAG contrast requirements in both light and dark mode, and text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content.
- Charts come with a data table, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and pages respect high-contrast (forced colors) settings.
- We write in plain language and explain legal terms when we use them.
Known limitations
- The Solstice Portal is newer than this website, and we are still bringing all of it up to the same standard.
- Documents you upload are shown as they were created. A scanned document may not be readable by a screen reader until Solstice has read its text, and some court forms are not accessible at their source.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on Solstice is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@solstice-legal.com with the page and the problem. We aim to reply within two business days, and we will work with you to get you what you need in the meantime.
Accommodations at court
Courts must provide reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. In Utah, each court has an ADA coordinator; ask the clerk of your court, or visit utcourts.gov.
