Why we don't sell "unlimited"

Every drafted page, scanned document and cited answer takes real computing work. So "unlimited" plans usually do one of two things: they slow you down quietly once you use them heavily, or they charge everyone enough to cover the heaviest users.

We publish exactly what each plan includes instead. Your allowance is checked before new work starts, so a job is never cut off halfway. If you need more, you can upgrade at any time.

Pricing questions

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. Start Here and Evaluate are permanent free plans, not trials. They never ask for a credit card, and they never expire.

What happens when I reach a monthly allowance?

Solstice tells you before it starts new work of that kind. Anything already running finishes. Your allowance renews on the first of the month, or you can upgrade at any time.

Do paid plans get better or more accurate answers?

No. Every plan uses the same accuracy checks, the same citation requirements and the same privacy protections. Paid plans let you do more each month, run longer drafts, and move faster when demand is high.

Can I cancel?

Yes, online, at any time. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until you cancel. When you cancel any paid plan, including the six-month Your Case option, it ends right away, your account moves to the free plan, and we refund the unused part of what you paid, prorated by the day. The six-month option is paid once and does not renew. Billing terms.

Does Solstice work in my state?

Solstice's deadline calculator and court guidance cover Utah today. Anyone, anywhere can create a free account and talk with Solstice about their situation. Outside Utah it explains how things generally work and tells you when you need to check your own state's rules. We'll announce new states as we add them.

Am I talking with a real person?

No. Solstice is an AI virtual paralegal: software that uses artificial intelligence to understand your questions and answer them, any time of day. It will always tell you it's an AI if you ask. It isn't a lawyer and doesn't give legal advice, and its answers about your documents show their sources so you can check them.

Is Solstice a replacement for a lawyer?

No. Solstice is software that helps you understand, organize and prepare. It does not give legal advice or represent you. If your case involves safety concerns, significant property or a custody dispute, talking with a lawyer is worth it. Read more about what Solstice is and isn't.

Do you work with legal aid organizations and clinics?

Yes, we'd like to. Email sales@solstice-legal.com about mission pricing for nonprofit legal aid, law school clinics and court self-help programs.

How is my information protected?

Each client's files are walled off in the database itself. Reading and drafting run on infrastructure we operate, and nothing you share is used to train AI. Read our privacy summary.
